Judges

Hi,

my name is Jiřina Máčková.
My journey through the beautiful sport of agility began in 1994, when I saw demonstrations at a dog show. My first agility dog was Groenendael Ajša. She was 4 years old when we started training. She ran with slow elegance and we only knew how to slalom with our left hand. Even though agility was much simpler back then, it had its charm. It’s still true, but it’s amazing to watch the sport evolve, become more accurate, more professional and faster.
During those many years, I competed with my other dogs – shelties Dean, Witch, Aninka and Shani and border collie Paige. Now I run with miniausies Máša and Síča. My career as an agility judge began in 1998 when I passed the judging exams. In 2001 I became an international judge and since then I have judged many competitions in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Croatia, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Finland, Chile and Great Britain. I judged Americas & Caribe de Agility 2012, World Championship in 2012 in Liberec, FMBB World Championship 2014, B.A.C.K. 2014, Norwegian Open 2016, European Open 2018, JOAWC 2023.
I have been to many world championships as a spectator. In 2003 and 2004, I led the Czech national team at the World and IMCA championships. In 2001, I founded the tradition of the International Junior Championship, which I consider one of my great achievements in the field of agility. I like working with children and juniors, probably because I am a teacher by profession and I think that agility must also take care of its future champions.
In my opinion, all these experiences help me to be a good judge and are a great inspiration for me. I try to make my courses interesting enough that I would also like to run them. My highest priority is the safety of the dog and the handler, I combine technical sequences with fast parts and strive for smooth parkours and legibility for both the dog and the handler. I’m glad when the handlers find my parkours fun and run them with joy.
I am very happy to come back in Gyula again. I don’t even know how many times I have found myself in this beautiful city thanks to agility. And I love coming back here every time. Many thanks to my long-time agility friends for the invitation.

Good luck and enjoy your runs!

I am honored to be a judge at the Medivid cup in 2025. Which is one of the year’s top-quality competition with a perfect location, excellent obstacles and unique organization. Not to mention the new artificial grass made by Jutagrass. So all the conditions are set for an amazing agility weekend and I will try to add my best knowledge with my courses and judgments. Let’s spend a weekend together in a beautiful city with our dogs, fellow competitors and fans!

Wishing everyone the best of luck and fair competition.
